Early spring is a great time to listen and call for breeding owls, as courtship and nesting has already begun! Walking along woodland edges, you will call for Screech Owls to fly in and perch aloft. We may hear Great Horned Owls singing their courtship duets, and if the weather is mild, perhaps even see courtship flights of the American Woodcock! Dr. Emile DeVito, New Jersey Conservation Foundation staff biologist, will lead this moonlight walk through Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center in Morris County.
The evening's festivities will commence with a live owl courtesy of The Raptor Trust, plus delicious coffee donated by Black River Roasters!
